- What cloud provider is being used (i.e. Azure, AWS, Google, something else)?
TariffShark is hosted on AWS.
- How are data backups handled? (frequency, how long are backups kept, is data encrypted at rest, etc.)
- We perform weekly full backups, daily incremental backups, and Transaction Log backups every 15 minutes.
- We keep one full set of Weekly, Daily, and Transaction Log backups as the next set is being built the subsequent week.
- Backups are encrypted in transit from the database server to the storage location. They are not, however, encrypted at rest. Encrypting database backups at rest is an operational item in our product backlog.
- What type of disaster recovery (DR) preparations exist?
We have a fully documented DR plan and written DR test procedures. We run through the test procedures every six (6) months. The last DR test completed successfully in June 2022.
